Job Description

A busy bar is looking for a reliable and energetic Barback to support the bartending team and help create a smooth, efficient service experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in staying organised, and is committed to maintaining high standards behind the bar.

Responsibilities

• Restock beverages, garnishes, ice, glassware, and bar supplies throughout each shift.
• Keep the bar area clean, organised, and ready for service at all times.
• Collect and wash glassware, ensuring a steady supply for bartenders.
• Remove empty bottles, cartons, and waste promptly.
• Replenish refrigerators and storage areas as needed.
• Assist bartenders with preparing ingredients and setting up for service.
• Receive and organise deliveries of beverages and supplies.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and inventory replenishment.
• Provide prompt assistance to the bar team during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barback, Bar Assistant, or in a similar food and beverage support role is an advantage.
• Good understanding of bar operations and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving beverage stock and supplies.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
