Job Description

Our bar is looking for a dependable and energetic Barback to support our bartending team and help create an efficient, well-organized environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly, and is committed to providing excellent service behind the scenes. As a Barback, you will play a key part in ensuring the bar remains fully stocked, clean, and ready to serve guests throughout every shift.

Responsibilities

• Restock beer, wine, spirits, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies throughout service.
• Refill ice bins and ensure bartenders always have the supplies they need.
• Collect and wash glassware, bar tools, and equipment.
• Keep the bar area clean, organised, and free from clutter.
• Remove empty bottles, packaging, and waste promptly.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Prepare garnishes and replenish fruit, syrups, and other ingredients.
• Support bartenders during busy periods by responding quickly to requests.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Help with opening and closing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barback, Bar Assistant, or in a similar support role is an advantage.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina to lift, carry, and move stock throughout the shift.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Basic understanding of bar operations and beverage handling is preferred.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and high service standards.
