Bar Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the bar and ensure smooth service during all shifts.
• Lead, motivate, and support bartenders and bar staff to achieve excellent performance.
• Monitor stock levels, oversee inventory, and coordinate timely replenishment of beverages and supplies.
• Ensure all drinks are prepared and served according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to improve skills and service standards.
• Prepare staff schedules and assist with shift planning.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the bar area at all times.
• Enforce health, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Assist with cash handling, end-of-day reconciliation, and accurate record keeping.
• Collaborate with management to develop promotions and improve bar performance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor, Senior Bartender, or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, and beverage service techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership, team management, and staff training abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
• Experience with inventory management and stock control.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
• Professional appearance and a customer-focused attitude.
