Bar Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation of the bar to ensure efficient and professional service.
• Lead, motivate, and support bartenders and bar support staff during each shift.
• Monitor beverage preparation to ensure consistency, presentation, and quality standards.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and end of shift reporting.
• Track inventory levels, receive stock deliveries, and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally to maintain a positive guest experience.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization throughout the bar.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance.
• Coordinate with management to implement promotions, special events, and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor, Senior Bartender, or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage service techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with stock control, inventory management, and cash handling.
• Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Professional appearance and a positive, approachable attitude.
• Food safety and responsible alcohol service certification is an advantage.
