A well-organised hotel is seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to oversee the planning and execution of banquet events while ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, coordinates multiple events efficiently, and inspires a team to deliver outstanding service for conferences, weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and supervise all banquet events from setup to completion.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, front office, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
• Lead, train, and schedule banquet staff to maintain high service standards.
• Meet with clients to discuss event requirements and ensure expectations are exceeded.
• Oversee banquet room setup, décor arrangements, and event timelines.
• Monitor food and beverage service to ensure quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
• Manage banquet budgets, inventory, and operating costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly during events.
• Prepare reports on banquet operations, staffing, and event performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Banquet Manager, Banquet Supervisor, or in a similar food and beverage management role within a hotel.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of banquet operations, food and beverage service, and event coordination.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel or banquet management systems is an advantage.
