Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, muffins, cookies, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Follow recipes while maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Measure, mix, knead, shape, proof, and bake products according to production schedules.
• Decorate and finish baked items as required.
• Monitor ingredient quality and ensure freshness at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of baking equipment and workstations.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory management and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
• Minimize waste through efficient preparation and proper storage practices.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and cafe team to ensure products are available throughout service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Baker in a cafe, bakery, restaurant, or similar food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation methods.
• Ability to prepare both traditional and specialty baked products.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while meeting production deadlines.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift baking supplies when needed.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
