Job Description

There’s something special about the smell of fresh bread and pastries in the morning, and we’re looking for someone who can make that magic happen every day. Our café is searching for a skilled and passionate Baker to join the kitchen team and bring warmth, creativity, and consistency to every bake.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and bake a variety of items including bread, pastries, cakes, and seasonal treats
• Follow recipes while also contributing creative ideas for new menu items
• Ensure all baked goods are fresh, well-presented, and produced on time
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the baking area
• Monitor ingredient stock and report shortages when needed
• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to meet daily demand

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a baker or pastry assistant in a café, bakery, or restaurant
• Good understanding of baking techniques, dough preparation, and oven management
• Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency
• Creativity and willingness to experiment with new baked products
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and busy shifts when required
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
