Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of a busy restaurant, maintain excellent service standards, and contribute to a positive and productive workplace. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the restaurant’s daily operations to ensure efficient service.
• Supervise, motivate, and support front and back of house team members.
• Help recruit, onboard, and train new employees.
• Monitor service quality and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Support staff scheduling and ensure adequate shift coverage.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when needed.
• Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to achieve operational and financial goals.
• Assist in implementing promotional activities and service improvement initiatives.
• Prepare operational reports and support performance tracking.
• Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Sound knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and customer service standards.
• Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in restaurant point of sale systems and basic computer applications.
