Assistant Barista

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Barista to support daily operations, prepare quality beverages, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Support the Barista with drink preparation during busy service periods.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee preparation area, seating area, and equipment.
• Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, pastries, cups, and other supplies as needed.
• Ensure food and beverage presentation meets company standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and equipment checks.
• Respond to customer enquiries courteously and resolve minor concerns promptly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, restaurant, or food service environment is an advantage but not essential.
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, positive, and eager to learn.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting when required.
