Assistant Barista

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages.
• Support the Barista with daily beverage preparation and presentation.
• Welcome customers warmly and provide prompt, attentive service.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee preparation area, dining space, and equipment.
• Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, pastries, and other supplies as needed.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and equipment checks.
• Respond professionally to customer enquiries and resolve minor concerns.
• Work closely with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, restaurant, or customer service role is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of espresso-based drinks and coffee preparation techniques is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and develop barista skills through training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
