Assistant Barista

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Barista to support our coffee shop team in preparing quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes.
• Welcome customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently.
• Support the Barista with daily beverage preparation and food service.
• Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies throughout each shift.
• Keep the coffee preparation area, equipment, and customer seating areas clean and organized.
• Operate coffee machines and grinders safely while following operational procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and preparing the shop for service.
• Monitor product freshness and report low stock or maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Work collaboratively with team members to provide a smooth and enjoyable customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, restaurant, or customer service role is an advantage but not essential.
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy periods.
• Willingness to learn and develop barista skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service quality.
