Assistant Bar Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Bar Manager who is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences while supporting the daily operations of a busy bar. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring staff, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring every shift runs efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the bar.
• Support the Bar Manager in supervising and motivating the bar team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Help recruit, train, and onboard new team members.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management and ordering.
• Ensure beverages are prepared and served according to established quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the bar.
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Assist with scheduling staff and coordinating shift coverage.
• Monitor cash handling procedures and support accurate end-of-shift reconciliation.
• Promote menu specials and contribute ideas to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a bar or similar beverage service environment.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with inventory control and stock management.
• Comfortable handling cash transactions and point-of-sale systems.
• Professional appearance with a positive and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining high service standards.
