Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to join our coffee shop team. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic hospitality environment and can ensure accurate financial records, effective cost control, and compliance with financial regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely bookkeeping.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements, cash receipts, and payment records.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, and cash flow to support business operations.
• Process invoices, payments, payroll, and supplier accounts.
• Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.
• Conduct inventory cost analysis and monitor stock-related expenses.
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend financial improvements.
• Ensure proper filing and secure maintenance of financial documents.
• Collaborate with management to provide financial insights for business decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting certification (such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Previous accounting experience in hospitality, retail, food service, or a similar industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
