Accountant

Job Description

A cozy, fast-paced café with a growing customer base is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to help keep our finances clean, clear, and well organized. If you enjoy working in a hospitality setting where numbers meet daily service operations, this role offers a steady rhythm and meaningful impact behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including sales, expenses, and petty cash
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial summaries for management review
• Monitor inventory costs and support stock reconciliation with the kitchen and service teams
• Manage supplier invoices and ensure timely payment processing
• Track daily cash flow and reconcile end-of-day sales reports
• Assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives to improve profitability
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with internal procedures
• Support audits and financial reviews when required

 Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
• Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in hospitality or retail
• Good understanding of basic financial reporting and cash management
• Proficiency with accounting tools or spreadsheet software
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work calmly in a busy, service-driven environment
• Honest, dependable, and comfortable handling cash-related processes
• Good communication skills for coordinating with non-finance staff
