Job Description

Our bar is looking for a dependable and energetic Barback to support the bar team and keep service running smoothly. The successful candidate will work closely with bartenders, maintain a well-stocked and organised bar area, and help create a clean, efficient environment for excellent customer service. If you are hardworking, attentive and comfortable working in a fast-paced bar, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with restocking beverages, glassware, ice and bar supplies.
• Keep the bar, storage areas and service stations clean and organised.
• Collect and wash glasses, utensils and other bar equipment as required.
• Replenish bottles, mixers, garnishes and other essential supplies during service.
• Dispose of empty bottles, waste and rubbish safely and efficiently.
• Support bartenders with preparation before service and cleaning after closing.
• Monitor stock levels and promptly report shortages or damaged items.
• Assist with deliveries and the proper storage of beverages and supplies.
• Follow all health, safety and cleanliness procedures.
• Provide friendly and efficient support to the wider bar team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant or similar fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations, beverage service and stock handling.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and handle routine lifting.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to take initiative.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Food safety or responsible beverage service training is an advantage.
