A busy restaurant is seeking an experienced and highly organised Catering Manager to lead and grow our catering operations. Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all catering events from enquiry to completion.
• Meet with clients to discuss event requirements, menus, budgets, and special requests.
• Work closely with the kitchen and restaurant teams to ensure timely food preparation and service.
• Prepare catering proposals, quotations, and event schedules.
• Manage catering staff, assign duties, and provide ongoing coaching and support.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate equipment, supplies, and transportation for off-site events.
• Ensure all catering operations comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Track catering budgets, control costs, and prepare operational reports.
• Resolve client concerns professionally and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar catering or restaurant management role.
• Strong knowledge of catering operations, event planning, and food service management.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
• Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
• Ability to coordinate multiple events while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering or restaurant management software is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
