Assistant Bar Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Bar Manager who is ready to support daily bar operations, lead by example, and help maintain high service standards while motivating the team to deliver excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar.
• Support the Bar Manager in supervising and motivating bartenders and bar support staff.
• Ensure beverages are prepared and served according to established standards.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and coordinate replenishment.
• Help maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar at all times.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and beverage service regulations.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
• Monitor cash handling procedures and support accurate end-of-shift reconciliation.
• Contribute ideas for beverage promotions, seasonal menus, and operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bar operations, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and beverage preparation techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with inventory control and stock management.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
