Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Restaurant Expediter to coordinate communication between the kitchen and service team, ensuring every order is prepared accurately and delivered promptly. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house team.
• Verify that all meals meet presentation, quality, and order accuracy standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Prioritise and organise ticket flow during busy service periods.
• Communicate special requests, dietary requirements, and order changes to the kitchen.
• Ensure dishes are delivered in the correct sequence and within expected service times.
• Monitor food temperatures and presentation before service.
• Assist in resolving order discrepancies quickly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient expediting station.
• Support teamwork between kitchen and service staff to ensure excellent guest satisfaction.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Expediter, Food Runner, Server, or in a similar restaurant role is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service periods.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
