Our restaurant is committed to delivering an organised, efficient, and enjoyable dining experience through attentive service and strong teamwork. We are seeking an Expediter to coordinate communication between the kitchen and front-of-house team, ensuring every order is accurate, complete, properly presented, and delivered to guests without unnecessary delays. The ideal candidate is organised, alert, and confident working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of completed dishes from the kitchen to the service team.
• Review orders for accuracy, presentation, portioning, and completeness before they leave the kitchen.
• Communicate clearly with chefs, servers, and restaurant supervisors regarding order status.
• Monitor ticket times and help identify delays or missing items.
• Ensure dishes for the same table are ready to be served together whenever possible.
• Track special requests, dietary requirements, and modifications carefully.
• Maintain an organised pass area and uphold food safety standards.
• Assist with resolving order discrepancies quickly and professionally.
• Support smooth communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Expediter, Food Runner, Server, Kitchen Assistant, or in a similar restaurant role.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service procedures and food presentation standards.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and organised during busy service periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
