Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, attentive, and well-presented Hostess to join our coffee shop team. In this role, you will greet guests with warmth, manage seating arrangements efficiently, and help create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that encourages customers to return.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests promptly with a warm and professional attitude.
• Escort customers to available tables and manage the seating flow.
• Maintain an accurate waiting list during busy periods.
• Answer customer enquiries and provide information about menu items and daily specials.
• Coordinate with servers and baristas to ensure smooth guest service.
• Keep the entrance and waiting area clean, organised, and inviting.
• Handle reservations where applicable and accommodate special requests whenever possible.
• Assist in maintaining a positive dining experience by addressing guest concerns courteously.
• Support the team with light administrative or front-of-house duties as required.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to visit again.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hostess or in a customer-facing role within a coffee shop, café, restaurant, or similar environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, confident, and professional appearance.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous during busy service periods.
• Customer-focused mindset with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service.
• Dependable, punctual, and a collaborative team player.
• Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems is an advantage.
• Ability to stand and move comfortably throughout the shift.
