Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the housekeeping team to achieve exceptional cleanliness standards.
• Develop staff schedules and allocate daily assignments efficiently.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping team members.
• Manage departmental budgets and monitor housekeeping expenses.
• Maintain inventory levels for linens, cleaning supplies, guest amenities, and equipment.
• Coordinate with the Front Office and Maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are available and well maintained.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and service concerns.
• Prepare operational reports, housekeeping records, and performance updates.
• Implement procedures that improve productivity while maintaining service excellence.
• Oversee laundry operations and linen management where applicable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a housekeeping leadership role within a hotel.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and hotel operations.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage inventories, budgets, and departmental resources effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proficiency in using hotel management or housekeeping management systems is an advantage.
• Ability to remain composed while managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
