A welcoming café is seeking a poised and attentive Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring every arrival feels smooth, warm, and well-organized. This role blends hospitality, coordination, and calm presence during busy service hours. You’ll help set the tone for the entire dining experience while keeping guest flow efficient and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and create a friendly, professional first impression
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and seating arrangements
• Maintain an organized waiting list during peak periods
• Communicate wait times clearly and courteously to guests
• Coordinate with service staff to ensure balanced table rotation
• Assist in maintaining a tidy and presentable entrance and reception area
• Support guests with inquiries about menu offerings and café services
• Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate concerns when needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, front-of-house, or customer-facing roles preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm and composed manner, especially in busy environments
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Basic familiarity with reservation or booking systems is an advantage
• Professional appearance and customer-first mindset
• Team-oriented attitude with willingness to support service flow
