Kitchen Assistant

Job Description

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and being part of a team that creates great dining experiences? We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team and help keep our kitchen running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks.
• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Receive and properly store food deliveries.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently followed.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and keep kitchen areas sanitary.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Help monitor stock levels and report shortages when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or food service environment is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
