Job Description

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Waiter to join our cafe team. The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a pleasant dining experience by welcoming guests, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages efficiently, and ensuring tables are kept clean and organised. We value professionalism, teamwork, reliability, and genuine care for customers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and assist them with seating and menu selections.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and service team.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining professional service standards.
• Check on customers during their visit and respond courteously to requests.
• Prepare and maintain dining tables before, during, and after service.
• Process customer bills and payments accurately when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the cafe.
• Report customer concerns, special requests, or service issues to the supervisor.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient cafe operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Waiter, Server, or in a customer-facing cafe or restaurant role is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service practices.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods.
• Good numeracy skills for handling orders and payments.
• Reliable, punctual, well-presented, and willing to work flexible shifts.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
