Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Steward to support the smooth operation of our hotel’s food and beverage services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and works well as part of a team. Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, glassware, and cookware.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage, and dishwashing areas at all times.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables according to hotel procedures.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report inventory shortages.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks when required.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down kitchen workstations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Steward, Kitchen Steward, or in a similar cleaning or kitchen support role within a hotel or food service environment is an advantage.
• Good understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards of workplace safety.
