Station Chef
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Station Chef to take charge of a specific section of our kitchen and help deliver consistently high-quality dishes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys precision, thrives under pressure, and takes pride in their craft.
What you will do
- Run and manage your assigned kitchen section efficiently during service
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to restaurant standards
- Ensure ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across your workstation
- Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Support junior kitchen staff when needed during busy shifts
- Monitor portion control and reduce food waste
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Station Chef in a professional kitchen
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Good attention to detail and consistency in food presentation
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within a structured kitchen brigade
