Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and light meals according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated using food safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitary food preparation area at all times
• Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the day
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
• Monitor food quality and report any shortages or concerns promptly
• Follow portion control guidelines to minimise waste
• Support team members during busy service periods
• Comply with all health, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations
• Deliver friendly and efficient service when interacting with customers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Sandwich Maker, Food Preparation Assistant, Deli Associate, or in a similar café or food service role is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Ability to prepare food efficiently while maintaining high quality
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Food safety certification is an advantage but not essential
• A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
