Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, roast, grill, and carve a variety of meats, poultry, and other roasted specialties according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Monitor cooking temperatures, roasting times, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
• Season, marinate, and prepare ingredients before cooking.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the roasting and grilling station.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food items to maintain freshness and food safety.
• Inspect ingredients for quality and report any shortages or quality concerns.
• Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth meal service.
• Minimize food waste through efficient portion control and careful preparation.
• Operate and maintain roasting ovens, grills, rotisseries, and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Comply with all food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma, certificate, or professional training in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Rôtisseur, Grill Chef, Roast Chef, or in a similar culinary position within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment.
• Strong knowledge of roasting techniques, meat preparation, and cooking temperatures.
• Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Good knife skills and proficiency in handling commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
