Room Attendant

Job Description

Our hotel is committed to providing clean, comfortable, and well-maintained guest rooms supported by attentive service and high standards. We are looking for a Room Attendant who takes pride in maintaining excellent room presentation and ensuring every guest enjoys a pleasant stay. The successful candidate will work closely with the housekeeping team to keep guest rooms and assigned areas consistently clean, organised, and ready for arrival.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and arrange guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas according to hotel standards.
• Change bed linens, towels, and other room amenities as required.
• Replenish toiletries, guest supplies, and in-room items.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitise surfaces thoroughly.
• Inspect rooms to ensure furniture, fixtures, and amenities are properly arranged.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and missing equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
• Handle guest belongings responsibly and follow hotel procedures for lost property.
• Respond courteously to reasonable guest requests and communicate any concerns to the housekeeping team.
• Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping equipment and storage areas.
• Follow health, safety, hygiene, and hotel cleanliness procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Room Attendant, Housekeeping Attendant, Cleaner, or in a similar hotel role is preferred.
• Good understanding of professional cleaning and room-maintenance standards.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical stamina and ability to remain active throughout the working day.
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
• Courteous communication skills and a guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a housekeeping team.
• Professional appearance and a responsible approach to handling guest property.
