Restaurant & Banquet Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and service-focused Restaurant & Banquet Coordinator to support the smooth planning and execution of restaurant functions, private events, banquets, and special dining occasions. The successful candidate will coordinate event details, communicate with clients and internal teams, and ensure every function is prepared and delivered to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate restaurant reservations, banquets, private functions, and special events.
• Liaise with clients to understand event requirements, menus, schedules, and seating arrangements.
• Prepare event schedules, function sheets, and service plans.
• Coordinate with kitchen, service, bar, and management teams before and during events.
• Monitor event setup, service delivery, guest requirements, and post-event activities.
• Handle changes, special requests, and unexpected issues professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, guest information, and event details.
• Support billing, invoicing, and administrative tasks related to events.
• Ensure restaurant and banquet areas are properly prepared before each function.
• Gather client feedback and recommend improvements for future events.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in restaurant, banquet, events, or customer service coordination.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Good knowledge of restaurant and banquet service procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple events and priorities efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Professional appearance and a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency with basic office and reservation software is an advantage.
