Purchasing Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to join a dynamic restaurant team. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth flow of ingredients, supplies, and equipment needed to keep the kitchen and service running at its best. If you enjoy negotiation, organization, and working behind the scenes to keep operations efficient, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase food ingredients, beverages, and restaurant supplies at competitive prices
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Compare prices, quality, and delivery terms to ensure cost efficiency
• Keep accurate purchase records, invoices, and inventory documentation
• Work closely with the kitchen and store teams to forecast supply needs
• Ensure all purchased items meet quality and safety standards
• Track deliveries and resolve any issues with suppliers promptly

Qualifications

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory-related roles within hospitality or food service
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Good understanding of stock control and supply chain processes
• High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and deadlines effectively
• Basic proficiency with inventory or purchase tracking systems or spreadsheets
• A practical, problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
