Public Area Attendant

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, meeting rooms, and other public areas.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Replenish restroom supplies and ensure facilities remain hygienic and well-stocked.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards promptly.
• Respond to guest requests courteously and professionally when required.
• Follow cleaning schedules and sanitation standards.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to guidelines.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects as assigned.
• Support the housekeeping team in maintaining a clean and presentable hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or a similar role in a hotel is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift during shifts.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Friendly, professional, and courteous attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Ability to follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
