Job Description

A well-established hotel is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to oversee overnight front office operations while ensuring financial records are accurate and guest needs are met. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has excellent organisational skills, and can maintain exceptional service standards throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome late-arriving guests and manage check-ins and check-outs during overnight shifts.
• Balance daily revenue, reconcile guest accounts, and prepare end-of-day financial reports.
• Verify room charges, payments, and other transactions for accuracy.
• Handle guest enquiries, requests, and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
• Monitor hotel security procedures and respond appropriately to overnight incidents.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams regarding urgent overnight issues.
• Prepare reports for management and ensure a smooth handover to the morning shift.
• Maintain accurate guest records and uphold confidentiality at all times.
• Ensure the front desk and lobby remain organised and presentable throughout the shift.
• Follow hotel policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Night Auditor, Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or in a similar hotel role is preferred.
• Strong numerical skills with the ability to reconcile financial records accurately.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems and basic accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and remain focused during overnight hours.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
