Night Auditor

Job Description

A well-established hotel is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Night Auditor to oversee overnight front office operations while ensuring accurate financial reconciliation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, delivering excellent guest service, and maintaining high standards of accuracy during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-of-day financial audits and reconcile daily transactions.
• Balance cash, credit card, and other payment records.
• Process guest arrivals, departures, and room reservations during overnight hours.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries and requests.
• Prepare daily operational and financial reports for management.
• Verify billing accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitor hotel security procedures and report unusual incidents.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams when necessary.
• Ensure the front desk and lobby remain organised and presentable.
• Maintain accurate guest records while protecting confidential information.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Night Auditor, Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar hotel position is preferred.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems and basic accounting principles.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight shifts.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Professional appearance and a guest-focused attitude.
