Managing Director

Job Description

A restaurant group is seeking a Managing Director to oversee strategy, operations, and long-term growth. The role carries full responsibility for business performance, brand direction, and operational standards across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement overall business strategy and growth plans
• Oversee daily operations across kitchen, service, finance, and procurement
• Lead senior management teams and ensure strong inter-department coordination
• Drive revenue growth while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards
• Develop and enforce operational policies, compliance, and service excellence standards
• Build strategic partnerships with suppliers, stakeholders, and key industry players
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and reporting
• Champion brand positioning, customer experience, and market competitiveness
• Ensure talent development, leadership succession planning, and staff engagement
• Identify expansion opportunities and guide business development initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 8–12 years of senior leadership experience in hospitality or restaurant operations
• Strong background in financial management and business strategy
• Proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent decision-making, negotiation, and leadership capabilities
• High-level understanding of restaurant operations and customer experience management
• Experience with multi-unit or high-volume establishments is an advantage
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
