Kitchen Steward

Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to join our restaurant team. This role plays an essential part in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment that supports smooth daily operations and high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items promptly and thoroughly
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required
• Ensure proper storage of cleaned items in designated areas
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, waste disposal areas, and kitchen surroundings
• Support kitchen staff by replenishing supplies and keeping workstations tidy
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
• Report any equipment faults or maintenance needs to supervisors

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or similar environment is an advantage
• Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Good time management and reliability
