Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Kitchen Porter who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and supporting the kitchen team in delivering excellent service. Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently.
• Keep kitchen floors, workstations, storage areas, and waste disposal points clean and sanitised.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries correctly.
• Ensure rubbish and recycling are disposed of according to hygiene procedures.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation when required.
• Refill cleaning supplies and report shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations at all times.
• Help maintain an organised kitchen that supports efficient daily operations.
• Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar back of house role is an advantage but not essential.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies when necessary.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
