IT Support Officer

Job Description

Our hotel is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Officer to help maintain reliable technology systems that support daily operations across all departments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, providing excellent user support, and ensuring systems remain secure, efficient, and available. You will work closely with hotel teams to deliver seamless IT services that enhance both staff productivity and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first and second line technical support to hotel staff.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, Wi-Fi connectivity, and internet services.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues promptly.
• Support hotel management systems, point of sale systems, and office applications.
• Perform routine system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
• Assist with cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with IT policies.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment repairs and technical support when required.
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and system changes accurately.
• Train staff on basic IT procedures and best practices.
• Participate in IT projects, system upgrades, and technology implementations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience providing IT support in a hotel or similar service-driven environment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, and computer hardware.
• Experience supporting hotel property management systems and point of sale platforms is desirable.
• Familiarity with network security, antivirus solutions, and data backup procedures.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
