Inventory Controller

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-focused and reliable Inventory Controller to join our cafe team. This role is key to keeping our operations smooth by ensuring stock levels are accurate, waste is minimized, and supplies are always well managed. If you enjoy organization, numbers, and working in a lively food environment, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily inventory levels of food, beverages, and cafe supplies
• Record stock deliveries accurately and update inventory systems or logbooks
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Track product usage and report shortages or overstock situations
• Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to forecast supply needs
• Ensure proper storage conditions and stock rotation (FIFO method)
• Assist in reducing waste and controlling inventory costs
• Liaise with suppliers when stock needs replenishment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control, storekeeping, or a similar role is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
• Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Honest, responsible, and dependable work ethic
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
