HR Officer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Officer to join our restaurant and support the recruitment, development, and wellbeing of our employees. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and is committed to fostering a productive and engaging workplace while ensuring compliance with employment policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and orientation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
• Assist with payroll preparation by providing accurate employee information.
• Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and workplace regulations.
• Organise staff training sessions and monitor training records.
• Support employee engagement and retention programmes.
• Assist with disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
• Prepare HR reports and provide administrative support to management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HR Officer, HR Administrator, or in a similar human resources role, preferably in a restaurant or other fast paced environment.
• Good understanding of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
• Knowledge of employment legislation and workplace compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management software is an advantage.
• Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
• Professional certification in Human Resources is an added advantage.
