HR Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a professional and organized HR Officer to join our hotel. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting employees, coordinating human resource activities, and ensuring that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented. The successful candidate will play a key role in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and maintaining accurate personnel records while contributing to the smooth operation of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant employee information.
• Coordinate staff training and development programmes.
• Support performance appraisal processes and employee evaluations.
• Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and internal procedures.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain attendance and leave records.
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and initiatives.
• Promote a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• Previous experience in human resources, preferably within a hotel or service-oriented environment.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, and labour regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR management software.
• High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional HR certification is an added advantage.
