Housekeeper

Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Housekeeper to join our hotel team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness while helping create a pleasant experience for every guest. The ideal candidate is organised, observant, hardworking, and takes pride in completing tasks thoroughly.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and designated hotel areas.
• Change bed linens, towels, and other room supplies as required.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitise surfaces thoroughly.
• Replenish toiletries and guest amenities according to hotel standards.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning and report maintenance issues or damaged items.
• Handle cleaning equipment and products safely and responsibly.
• Collect and properly dispose of waste from assigned areas.
• Respond courteously to reasonable guest requests related to housekeeping.
• Follow daily cleaning schedules and complete assigned duties on time.
• Maintain organised housekeeping supplies and report shortages when necessary.
• Follow hotel hygiene, safety, and cleanliness procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper, Cleaner, Room Attendant, or in a similar role is preferred.
• Good understanding of cleaning methods, hygiene practices, and safe use of cleaning products.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent standards.
• Good physical stamina and ability to remain active throughout the workday.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working with limited supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a hotel team.
• Professional attitude with respect for guest privacy and hotel property.
