Hotel Host – Engineering

Job Description

This role supports the hotel’s operations by ensuring that all facilities, equipment and guest areas are safe, functional and well-maintained. It’s an opportunity to learn foundational skills in preventive maintenance while contributing directly to guest satisfaction.

The duties are as listed below:

• Follow all safety procedures, including key control and chemical handling guidelines
• Perform daily preventive maintenance tasks throughout the hotel
• Inspect, clean, and restore guest rooms after maintenance work to meet the hotel’s standards
• Maintain and troubleshoot hotel equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Complete routine maintenance tasks on schedule
• Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance emergencies
• Maintain the hotel’s grounds, pool, and building structure
• Uphold safety and security standards to protect guests, staff, and property

Qualifications

• General knowledge of hand tools
• General knowledge of maintenance
• Ability to work well with others in a guest and team-focused environment
• Time management capability to accomplish work within established parameters
• Customer service focus to anticipate guest needs, greet and acknowledge guests, respond to guest requests, and ensure guest satisfaction
• Perseverance to complete work efficiently with attention to quality and detail
• Action orientation to deliver the desired outcome
• Drive to learn and grow
• General knowledge of computers, media/AV systems
