Head Waiter

Job Description

We are looking for a confident and service-focused Head Waiter to lead the front-of-house team in our coffee shop. The successful candidate will coordinate daily service, support waitstaff, maintain excellent customer service standards, and help create an efficient and welcoming dining experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate waitstaff during daily coffee shop operations.
• Allocate tables and service duties according to business needs.
• Welcome guests and ensure they receive prompt and attentive service.
• Monitor service quality and address customer concerns professionally.
• Take and coordinate food and beverage orders accurately.
• Communicate effectively with baristas, kitchen staff, and management.
• Train and support new members of the service team.
• Monitor table presentation, cleanliness, and overall dining area standards.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Handle busy service periods calmly and efficiently.
• Ensure menus, service equipment, and front-of-house supplies are properly maintained.
• Support management with daily service coordination and staff performance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a waiter, senior waiter, or similar front-of-house role.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to organize staff and manage multiple tasks during busy periods.
• Professional, attentive, and well-presented manner.
• Good knowledge of hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to handle customer concerns with patience and professionalism.
