Head Waiter

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Head Waiter to lead our café’s front-of-house team and ensure every guest enjoys a welcoming, efficient, and memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with excellent customer service standards and the ability to coordinate daily café operations smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support waitstaff to maintain high service standards.
• Welcome guests, manage seating arrangements, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate table service and monitor the dining area during busy periods.
• Train, guide, and motivate service team members.
• Handle customer requests, feedback, and service concerns professionally.
• Ensure accurate order taking and effective communication between the café floor and kitchen teams.
• Monitor table presentation, cleanliness, and overall café appearance.
• Assist with staff scheduling, shift coordination, and service briefings.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, promotions, and special offerings.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and hospitality standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a café, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a service team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic service reporting is an advantage.
• Professional appearance and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
