Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all kitchen operations to ensure efficient daily service.
• Design, develop, and update seasonal and signature menus.
• Prepare and present high quality dishes with consistency.
• Manage and mentor chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
• Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation standards.
• Control food costs, inventory, and kitchen budgets.
• Order supplies and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with restaurant management to support special events and promotions.
• Schedule kitchen staff and oversee training and performance.
• Reduce food waste while maintaining excellent quality.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Senior Sous Chef in a restaurant.
• Professional culinary training, diploma, or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management.
• Experience managing kitchen budgets, food costing, and inventory control.
• Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a high volume kitchen.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem solving abilities.
• Creativity and passion for developing innovative dishes.
