Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the kitchen team to achieve excellent performance.
• Design and update menus that reflect quality, creativity, and customer preferences.
• Oversee food preparation to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage food ordering to minimise waste and control costs.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to encourage continuous improvement.
• Develop daily specials and seasonal menu offerings.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report repair needs promptly.
• Collaborate with management to achieve operational and financial goals.
• Handle customer feedback relating to food quality professionally and effectively.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or in a senior kitchen leadership role within a restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Experience with menu planning, recipe development, and food cost control.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining exceptional quality.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Creativity and passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
