A thriving restaurant is looking for an accomplished Head Chef to lead its culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in menu development, food quality, cost management, and maintaining a productive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
• Design innovative menus and seasonal specials that align with the restaurant’s concept.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
• Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
• Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and manage kitchen budgets effectively.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen employees.
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
• Schedule kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Resolve operational challenges while maintaining service excellence.

Qualifications

• Diploma, degree, or professional certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Extensive experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team management abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
• Proven experience managing food costs, inventory, and budgets.
• Comprehensive understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
