Job Description
A vibrant and growing restaurant is looking for a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. You will be responsible for shaping the kitchen’s identity, maintaining consistency across dishes, and inspiring a team that takes pride in every plate served.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations and coordinate all food preparation activities
- Design and update menus with seasonal and cost-effective dishes
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
- Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff
- Manage inventory, food ordering, and stock control
- Ensure strict hygiene and food safety compliance
- Monitor kitchen costs and reduce waste where possible
- Collaborate with management to improve guest dining experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to lead and manage a diverse kitchen team
- Good understanding of food costing and inventory management
- Excellent creativity and attention to detail
- Strong discipline in hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Culinary training or professional certification is an added advantage
