Head Barista

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to lead our coffee operations, inspire the team, and ensure every customer enjoys consistently outstanding beverages and service. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the barista team during daily operations.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages.
• Maintain consistency in drink preparation, presentation, and taste.
• Train, coach, and support new and existing baristas.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate inventory for coffee beans, milk, syrups, and supplies.
• Ensure coffee equipment is cleaned, maintained, and operating efficiently.
• Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and workplace hygiene standards.
• Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve service concerns promptly.
• Assist with scheduling, shift coordination, and daily opening and closing procedures.
• Promote a welcoming atmosphere while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Head Barista, Senior Barista, or in a similar leadership role within a coffee shop.
• Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, brewing methods, and coffee preparation techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience training and mentoring team members.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.
